City Of Hull Olympic Gymnastics Club offers children the opportunity to participate in general gymnastics and women's artistic gymnastics at a recreational and later if they choose, competition level, so they can enjoy actively using their bodies in a disciplined and controlled sport. At the same time we hope our gymnasts develop character as well as physical stamina, learning to encourage and help others - building an essential club spirit, so that each child is not concerned only with individual performance. Our Recreational Classes train in Woodford Leisure Centre in Hull.

 Our Competition Classes and Intermediate Class continue to train in various venues across East Yorkshire since the loss of specialist facilities at Woodford Leisure Centre due to flooding in June 2007.

We are a GymMark accredited club, which means we are safe, effective and child friendly. All our coaches are qualified through British Gymnastics and are fully CRB checked.

Our aim is to ensure that each gymnast reaches her full potential whether that is British Gymnastics Proficiency Scheme level 7, British Gymnastics gold or Club Grade 1. If a gymnast wants to progress further i.e. top-level competition then referrals can be made to the appropriate training venues. We hope that we can provide essential goals for the gymnasts in the form of badges, awards, and in-club competitions. Squad training for regional competitions is available by invitation.

Our policy of gymnasts developing to become helpers and coaches is, again, fundamental to the nature of our club, in which every gymnast has an important role to play. Be assured that each group never has more than 10 gymnasts per qualified coach and helper. This ensures that gymnasts are kept both occupied constructively and safe while in class. A great deal of time and effort is spent in planning and developing each class to ensure gymnasts show improvement and growth whatever their level..
